sentiments ng puyat

I am sorry that it is only now that i get to update this blog. I was really busy this past few weeks due to the attack of exams, reports, and projects. Haha. I still have two remaining exams to take: Acctg1 on Saturday and IE27 on Wednesday.

God, please fast-forward the days. I want this bloody sem to end. I want to rest, to sleep for 12 hours straight. This sem is really stressful for me. Nineteen units of major plus other non-GE subjects is never easy.

Ang hirap ng subjects ko ngayon. Lalo na yung IE 27. Less than 30% lang ang pumapasa every exam. What's sad about it is the fact that my professor won't curve kahit madaming mabababa. As what she had said, she wouldn't sacrifice quality with mercy. :c

Based on my calculations, I need to get 60% on my 4th long exam and final exam to pass IE 27. The problem is, 60% is already hard to achieve! I hope God will give me enough strength and wisdom to answer everything on our final exam. That's our one last chance to pass.

I know He wouldn't fail me. I know I wouldn't fail this. I would graduate on time. That's a promise. So help me God. :D

*pampalubag loob*

Kanina final presentation namin sa IE 31. Asteeg. Medyo nagkalat lang kame ng konti. Wala kasi si maeci. Yung dapat irereport niya napunta samin. Pero ok lang, at least natapos na. It was nice working with you guys! Thanks for your patience! ;)

on birthdays and going home

now i can breathe.
after a week of dreadful exams and puyatans, i finally have the time to post something here.

next week i'll be celebrating my 19th birthday. i'm a year older na naman. ohmygod. and then a year from now i'll say byebye to my teenage years na.

feeling ko i'm not yet ready to be an adult.
or am i just afraid to be an adult?

i dunno. maybe there are things that will always be hard to leave. like watching cartoons. or eating lots of candies 'till my tooth aches.

but then, i'm not the only person who gets through this. no one's exempted. everyone experiences this. so i guess there's nothing to be afraid of, just something to look forward to..

anyway, ate deth will be going home na on wednesday. after five months of studying web designing in Okinawa, Japan, she'll finally come back to her real home. our family, especially kuya mike and the kids, are really excited. my, we so much miss her! plus, who won't be excited for her padala? i'm looking forward to listening to my iPod na. haha!

she said she wanted kinunot (stingray cooked in coconut milk), adobong buto-buto, biko, and pancit so my mother will be cooking for her on thursday. i'll surely go home early on thursday! ;))

i hope i have a nice week ahead.

next exam: IE 21 on September 19, 2007

5 things i learned in ragnarok my mom should be proud of

"don't let academics interfere with your education."

this simply means that there is more to education than academics. and that's the reason why i just can't burrow my nose into my books and ignore what's happening outside the four corners of the classroom.

let me share you five things i learned not in the academe, but in the virtual world - the world of Ragnarok.

1. never judge anyone just by looking at their avatars. an avatar is just an image representing a user in a multi-user virtual reality space. it's just a representation, not the person itself. you can never tell the true importance of a person by just looking at their characters. there's more beyond to what their avatars are wearing. most of the time, online gamers tend to befriend players who are rich, for the reason that they wanted to be with the "in" peeps, or worse, they wanted to be showered with expensive things from their rich friends. on the other hand, shabby characters are often ridiculed - nuff said.

2. don't be fooled. be a smart player. never trust other players easily. sometimes, players take advantage of other players. they befriend you, chat with you, talk about something about himself, and then he'll ask if he can borrow your headgear just to see if it'll look good on him. and at the blink of an eye, he suddenly disconnected himself into the game, and off went your precious headgear, too.

3. never fall in love. i know. it's really hard not to fall especially when his character looks so cute. it's ok to admire, but please, don't fall in love. you never know if you're falling for the real person or just his avatar. you'll just end up hurting each other. believe me.

4. consider the feelings of others. just because who you are talking to online are just avatars doesn't mean you won't consider their feelings anymore. dude, there's an umbilical cord between the player and his character. so if you think you're not hurting the person you're telling bad things to, think again. you never know, behind that strong character is a hurting person.

5. friendship is something to be treasured forever. i guess this is the most important thing i learned - and something i will always be thankful for. heaven has brought me angels in the form of my guild mates. i guess they are the reason why i play RO. i'm really thankful that i found a family in ragnarok. i won't trade them for SGH or GTB or GR. if only they know it. my real treasure in ragnarok is not my +9 set or my precious headgears - but my guild, my Ronin family.

ragnarok isn't just about killing monsters and leveling up.

now, when you're mom scolds you because you've been playing online games for 10 hours straight, talk to her and tell her these 5 things. ;))
